Advice for parents/guardians

You should not be unduly worried about the possibility of your children catching the Coronavirus.

There is no reason why your children should not continue to attend their early years, school or further education setting as normal.

We recognise that some families or children may be planning to travel to China during the forthcoming half term period. If so, please refer to the FCO’s latest travel advice via the link above.

What action you can take?

A UK wide campaign has been launched to provide clear advice on how to slow the spread of Coronavirus.

Please help to support the campaign which promotes basic hygiene practices, such as regularly washing hands and always sneezing into a tissue, to stem the spread of viruses.

You will remember that at Christmas we asked for donations instead of gifts for our teaching staff.  Your very generous contrbitutions enabled us to make donations to two charities, idenfied by the School Council - Skylark Children's Ward at KGH and We Mind & Kelly Matters.

We have received lovely letters of thanks today from both charities.  Thank you again for your support.

The staff at Redwell are so grateful to all that donated instead of sending gifts this year - it has enabled us to support two local charities.

You will find below the Christmas edition of the Safety Matters newsletter, produced by Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service. It contains some important safety messages on topics ranging from fairy light safety, to candle usage, cooking and electrical safety as these are all key issues during the festive period. NFRS has attended more than 400 fires related to cooking or cooking equipment in the last three years.

It also includes a cooking safety competition (with the chance to win panto tickets), although the deadline for that is coming up soon – this Sunday.
