Barnwell Road

Dear Parents/Carers

If your child is required to self-isolate/quarantine due to COVID19 related circumstances outside of the educational setting, we would like to remind you of home learning options for you to access.

The class teachers will not be setting specific work for your child, nor does your child have to hand any work completed into the school.

Children are expected to complete between 3-4 hours of home learning daily. If additional reading books are required, they can be requested via the classroom e-mail or school office.

These sites support all year groups and abilities.  Click on the logo to access the site.

On Friday 16th October, we will be supporting Wear Red Day.
We ask that in return for wearing red, children make a voluntary donation of £1 which will go towards the educational charity - Show Racism the Red Card (an anti-racism education charity, working daily in schools throughout England, Scotland & Wales delivering anti-racism workshops to more than 50,000 young people every year, while also providing training to teachers).

As you may know, Redwell Primary School has a training and development centre on site called 5 Wells.   Established in 2014 we are very proud to be able to offer training, updates and support to our own staff and school staff across the county and beyond.  In order to grow the 5 Wells even further, Mrs Ansell will be working with the Development Centre two days a week to establish collaboration and new partnerships.

This means that on Thursdays and Fridays, Mrs Head will be Acting Head Teacher of Redwell Primary School - a position she has worked very hard for.

Please join us all in congratulating Mrs Head in her new role - should you need to speak to the Head Teacher on a Thursday or Friday, please ask for Mrs Head.

Everyone at Redwell Primary School would like to say a huge congratulations to Maisie, who has joined the Northampton Town Elite Girls U10 Squad for this season.  Maisie will play her first match away at Swindon Town this coming half term. Good luck Maisie!

The school photographers, Wrates, will be coming to school on Monday 5th October.  Unfortunately, due to the current Covid restrictions they will only be taking individual photographs of children.  They will not be taking photographs of siblings together or any pre-school children.  Photographs will be ordered online only.
