Redwell Primary School is a high attaining values led school and is situated on the northern edge of Wellingborough.

In September 2015 the school opened its new and improved building; as an expanding school we will eventually have 630 pupils. The site now includes 21 classrooms, a brand new reception area and offices, a large sports hall, three large playgrounds and a fantastic sports field. The school is changing from a two form entry to a three form entry over the coming years, therefore increasing our capacity.

The original Key Stage One school building was built in 1977 as a Primary School. It became an Infant School in 1986 when the Key Stage Two building was opened as Redwell Junior School.

In April 2014 the Infant & Junior Schools amalgamated to return to their roots & became Redwell Primary School once again.

Our age range is from 4-11 year olds, in a growing role moving from two form entry to three. This will take the school capacity to 630 when we are full in September 2019.

Our Vision

Redwell Primary School’s Vision Statement is;

Striving to achieve excellence in an outstanding, inclusive & nurturing community, through embedding values & effective partnerships.

For the children we use the mantra;

Be The Best You Can Be

Our Values

We are a Values School which is embedded in everything that we do. This supports outstanding behaviour & learning attitudes from our pupils & the well-being of the whole school community. We focus on traditional values, having one per month that we use as a theme in assemblies to focus on, in and around the school.

All of our Values are: Friendship, Happiness, Patience, Respect, Responsibility, Kindness, Ambition, Independence, Self-Belief, Honesty, Bravery

Our Curriculum

Across the school, the curriculum we follow is enquiry based. This gives all children the opportunity to deepen their learning through skillful questioning & focused challenge. We value individual strengths in children & personalise their learning journey so that they get the most out of their learning experience. We set ourselves challenging but achievable goals in the pursuit of excellence.

The curriculum of the school is designed to provide equal opportunities for all. We also consider our curriculum to be part of a child's life long journey in education. We acknowledge and build upon learning which has taken place before children enter our school and we lay the foundations which we hope will enable all our children to make the best possible use of the educational opportunities they are offered after they have left our school.

Our Community

At Redwell Primary School we value the involvement of parents in their child’s education. The school is ours to share. Both as parents and teachers, our joint interest is the welfare and education of the children. In order to achieve the very best for each child we must work co-operatively and collaboratively. Encouragement with home learning tasks and promoting the highest standards of school Values and behaviour will enhance your child’s success.

Redwell Primary School is proud to be the centre of this vibrant community and we are now in a very positive place, not only for our children, but for our children’s children.

The staff and governing body of Redwell Primary School endeavour to promote a safe, happy and caring environment where all children are valued and success at all levels is celebrated.

Development Centre

In addition, the school accommodates the 5 Wells Development Centre. The Development Centre’s role is to offer support and provide training to local schools; thus improving the teaching and learning of children within the area.
