Throughout the year the children are rewarded with pebbles for displaying the Redwell Values, which are
Friendship, Happiness, Patience, Respect, Kindness, Ambition, Independence, Self-Belief, Honesty, Bravery, Responsibility.
They proudly put the pebbles into the relevant jar in their year group and when that jar is full, they empty it into the whole school values jar. Each time the whole school jar is full the images above will change colour and the number of times the jar has been filled will be shown below the value. 1 - 3 full jars is clear; 4 - 6 full jars is bronze; 7 - 9 full jars is silver and 10+ is gold.
Redwell Primary is a school committed to ensuring pupils receive a high quality education. Every individual is valued for who they are and what they contribute to the school. Values guide our thinking, which in turn drive our behaviour and are the principles influencing our actions and attitudes. They become our scaffold for life.
Our school ethos is underpinned by core values to support the development of the whole child, empowering them to be reflective thinkers, take on responsibility, respect others and be creative and independent learners. The school aims to provide a caring, happy and purposeful atmosphere; promote positive contributions to the lives of others within the school community and the wider society. In all that we do we strive to share, encourage and demonstrate positive values with our children; in order that they understand them and grow to live by them.
Redwell Primary has eight values mascots, unique to the school and which the children helped to design. They are used to support in their personal, social and spiritual development. They don’t represent any one value but promote all of them and help recognise when others are ‘living the values’.
