Redwell Primary School is a high attaining values led school and is situated on the northern edge of Wellingborough.
In September 2015, the school opened it's new and improved building. The site expanded to include 21 classrooms, a brand new reception area and offices, a large sports hall, three large playgrounds and a fantastic sports field.
The original Key Stage One school building was built in 1977 as a Primary School. It became an Infant School in 1986 when the Key Stage Two building was opened as Redwell Junior School.
In April 2014, the Infant and Junior Schools amalgamated to return to their roots and became Redwell Primary School once again.
Our age range is from 4-11 year olds and we have 90 children per year group, 630 in total.

Our Vision
Redwell Primary School’s Curriculum Vision Statement:
Our vision is to provide a progressive, topic-based curriculum which develops the whole child through an immersive, child-led journey, where pupils learn through memorable experiences in a range of different environments, helping to prepare them for an exciting future, full of possibilities.
For the children we use the mantra:
Be The Best You Can Be
Our Values
Throughout the year the children are rewarded with pebbles for displaying the Redwell Values, which are:
Ambition - Responsibilty - Resilience - Respect - Compassion
They proudly put the pebbles into the relevant jar in their year group and when that jar is full, they empty it into the whole school values jar. When the whole school jars fill up, the children are rewarded with a special values treat. Previous examples include military experience days, mufti days, film afternoons and 'bring a game to school' days.
Redwell Primary is a school committed to ensuring pupils receive a high quality education. Every individual is valued for who they are and what they contribute to the school. Values guide our thinking, which in turn drive our behaviour and are the principles influencing our actions and attitudes. They become our scaffold for life.
Our school ethos is underpinned by core values to support the development of the whole child, empowering them to be reflective thinkers, take on responsibility, respect others and be creative and independent learners. The school aims to provide a caring, happy and purposeful atmosphere; promote positive contributions to the lives of others within the school community and the wider society. In all that we do we strive to share, encourage and demonstrate positive values with our children; in order that they understand them and grow to live by them.
Redwell Primary has eight values mascots, unique to the school and which the children helped to design. They are used to support in their personal, social and spiritual development. They don’t represent any one value but promote all of them and help recognise when others are ‘living the values’.
Our Community
At Redwell Primary School we value the involvement of parents in their child’s education. The school is ours to share. Both as parents and teachers, our joint interest is the welfare and education of the children. In order to achieve the very best for each child we must work co-operatively and collaboratively. Encouragement with home learning tasks and promoting the highest standards of school Values and behaviour will enhance your child’s success.
Redwell Primary School is proud to be the centre of this vibrant community and we are now in a very positive place, not only for our children, but for our children’s children.
The staff and governing body of Redwell Primary School endeavour to promote a safe, happy and caring environment where all children are valued and success at all levels is celebrated.
Our House System
Our house system operates throughout the school. All children are allocated to a house team, which they will belong to for their entire journey at Redwell. The children gain house points in a variety of ways, this includes within activities in PE lessons and through regular intra-school games encouraging competitive sport.
We have four house teams: Buckwell, Crosswell, Monkswell, and Stanwell.
House Captains and Vice Captains are elected annually and serve a pivotal role within the system, supporting children across the school within their team.
Each week the points are collated and shared with the children in their class assemblies.
